Join the Effort: Support AECOM’s Disaster Recovery and Resilience

AECOM is focused on growing Federal and non-Federal disaster recovery capabilities.  Across our teams, we have professionals with backgrounds in engineering, program and construction management, environmental compliance, grant administration, and community resilience—each playing a vital role in rebuilding stronger, more resilient communities after disasters.

As we continue to expand our ability to support clients in navigating federal and non-federal disaster recovery programs, we need to better understand the full range of experience within our team. This survey is designed to capture your interest and expertise–whether in FEMA Public Assistance, HUD CDBG-DR, hazard mitigation, infrastructure recovery, or other critical disaster funding programs. Our primary disaster recovery opportunities are shown in call-outs below.

Thank you for taking the time to complete this survey. Your expertise is what makes AECOM a trusted partner in recovery and resilience.

Opportunity #1: FEMA’s Consolidated Resources Center (CRC) Support Contract:

Staff work remotely to support FEMA’s four CRCs by developing and validating scopes of work and cost estimates and performing compliance reviews.  This is an ongoing contract/project.  We are looking for PA/CRC experienced staff to join our team.  All positions in support of this contract are 100% remote.

Opportunity #2: FEMA’s Public Assistance Technical Assistance Contract V (PA-TAC V):

Staff on this contract generally deploy to disaster-impacted areas to guide PA Program applicants through the PA process, identify damages, and logically group projects.  Staff also perform site inspections and environmental and historic preservation and insurance compliance reviews.  We hold this contract as NISTAC PLUS JV (NISTAC+), which is a joint venture between AECOM Technical Services, Inc. and Dewberry Engineers Inc.

All positions require up to a one-year deployment for disaster.  While deployed, a reimbursable per-dem (meals and lodging) at GSA rates, airfare, and rental car costs are provided to all staff living more than 50 miles from the duty station.

Opportunity # 3: State, Local, Tribal, and Territorial (SLTT) Government Work

Support of State, local, Tribal, and Territorial Order government clients for disaster recovery consists of leveraging AECOM’s core technical service areas and disaster staff to support projects that utilize federal disaster recovery funding including FEMA PA and HMGP and HUD CDBG programs. Resourcing typically leverages staff local to the impact area or nearby, as well as leveraging other staff who are available to deploy for travel-based work. Project participation can range from part time engagement to long term deployments. A willingness to travel for extended periods of time is often not required, and in some cases, staff can support projects remotely. US Citizenship is not a requirement for many state and local clients.
